The site

A 44-acre under-developed industrial site, with the University of Oxford as a major landowner.

The opportunity

Huge potential to become a centre for a range of innovation-focused activity, and making the most of its Thames-side location and access to the greenbelt.

Progress

The long-term plan to develop the site into a new innovation district is being led by Oxford University Development (OUD), part of Oxford University’s joint venture with Legal & General. The area is a focus for the City Council’s West End and Osney Mead Supplementary Planning Document, working closely with OUD.
